JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

This position will require an individual to be self-motivated and have a general knowledge of how to follow procedures. Inventory management experience, a safe driving record, and the ability to learn the basic principles of the dairy industry will be required. This is a hands-on position.

Schedule: M-F 8am - 4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:  ((All trucks have automatic transmissions)
Skills & Abilities: 

  • General knowledge of mechanical and instrumentation equipment
  • Ability to operate fork truck.
  • Ability to handle bulk chemicals
  • Must be able to work 8-10 hour shifts.
  • Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions

Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) year driving experience preferred with Class A CDL and HAZMAT endorsements
  • Experience with propane forklift operation
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or delivery driver preferred

Education/Certifications: 

  • High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent
  • Truck Driving School certificate
  • Must have clean driving record with current MVR
  • CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Prepare loads and load delivery trucks.
  • Receive and pull product into inventory and stock in appropriate locations.
  • Oversee inventory levels.
  • Assist customers as needed.
  • Deliver products to dairies.
  • Perform general site maintenance duties and clean and maintain warehouse.
  • Wash company vehicles.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly forklift inspections & maintenance as required by OSHA.
  • Adhere to all municipal, state and federal regulatory compliance, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Adhere to all UDA quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Adhere to all UDA safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Other duties as required.

Physical and environmental demands for this position are indicated below:  (check all that are applicable)

Physical Demands:

  • Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift, climb ladders and carry items up to 50lbs. on a regular basis
  • Requires ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Requires ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals.

Requires ability to hear and speak.
