Job Summary/Objective:

The Rogers 2 Operator plays a vital role in plant operations, handling diverse responsibilities such as CIP (clean in place) for equipment and lines, startup/shutdown procedures, operating Rogers 2 evaporator and R2 dryer, silo transfers, and HTST pasteurizers. This role involves inspections, chemical usage, effective communication, record-keeping, and strict adherence to SOPs, HACCP guidelines, and UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies. The operator must promptly report any nonconformities and fulfill additional duties as needed. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • CIP all process equipment, silos and lines 

  • Perform the startup and shutdown functions of process equipment 

  • Perform CIP and process connections 

  • Operate Rogers 2 evaporator and R2 dryer 

  • Perform silo transfers and make connections for receiving skim 

  • Operate the HTST pasteurizers on the Rogers 1 evaporator 

  • Perform bag house and sifter inspections 

  • Perform evaporator and equipment inspections. 

  • Identify, and correctly use chemicals as related to job. 

  • Maintain a high level of communication with each plant/process as the job demands. 

  • Keep accurate and legible records 

  • Adhere to all SOP’s and HACCP guidelines. 

  • Adhere to all UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity. 

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications: 
General Skills & Abilities needed to complete job successfully: 

  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices 

  • Ability to operate equipment. 

  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. 

  • Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) 

  • Ability to multitask 

  • Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize time. 

Experience: (required)  

  • Knowledge of evaporators, dryers, pasteurizers and food manufacturing process. 

Experience: (preferred) 

  • Food & Beverage Manufacturing operator experience 

  • Dairy Manufacturing experience 

Education/Certifications: (if n/a is applicable please note “N/A)
