PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform preventive, reactive, and predictive mechanical and electrical repairs for all UDA plants, warehouses, and facilities 
  • Perform a variety of industrial pneumatic diagnostics and repairs to valves, banks, and fittings
  • Perform various electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repairs including, but not limited to 3-phase motors, contactor relays, blown fuses, overload starters, VFD’s, motors, and PLC’s
  • Perform a variety of plumbing repairs to PVC, copper, and stainless-steel fittings
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects and prioritize maintenance requests by level of impact 
  • Develop effective procedure to diagnose, troubleshoot and validate quality solutions
  • Document, log, and report repairs into CMMS system and provide regular updates to maintenance team
  • Perform pump mechanical works and maintain and sustain pump programs
  • Always maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately.

Work Schedule: 12 hour shifts (nights or days -6 to 6); working on a 2-2-3 schedule (week 1 of payroll: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on; 2nd week of payroll: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off). 


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Expert knowledge and applied understanding of: Industrial electrical, pneumatic, boiler, refrigeration systems, motor, compressors, gearboxes, and pumps
  • Detail oriented with the ability to effectively diagnose, troubleshoot, and conduct complex repairs
  • Expert knowledge of equipment systems troubleshooting and repair
  • Make decisions based on general mechanical and electrical principals with minimal guidance and supervision 
  • Proficient knowledge of lubrication principles and techniques including bearing types and usage
  • Prior experience conducting utility and HVAC/R maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize technical prints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Ability to operate equipment including a forklift, and various lifts
  • Team-player mentality with the ability to self-manage and prioritize time, tasks, and projects
  • Basic typing skills and familiarity with computer programs such as a CMMS or EAM 

Experience: 

  •  5+ years of industrial maintenance experience!
  • General knowledge of food and beverage industry required! 

Education/Certifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires ability to walk and stand for 12 or more hours at a time
  • Requires ability to safely operate equipment by visually observing the condition of equipment and surroundings
  • Requires ability to hear and speak, occasionally in high time weighted average environments with elevated decibel readings (using appropriate hearing protection)
  • •Requires ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, reach, lift, push, pull and carry items up to 55lbs
  • Requires ability to push and pull items up to 150lbs 
  • Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of various heights occasionally including floors of 100ft or more, with appropriate fall protection PPE
  • Requires ability to work in varying extreme hot, cold, and wet temperatures and conditions
  • Requires ability to work in confined spaces frequently
  • Requires ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift occasionally
