Schedule: One day shift opening: 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. and one night shift opening: 6 p.m. - 6 a.m. , both on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule

Job Summary/Objective:
As a Powder Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Ava/Sapac Packaging equipment, ensuring Company production standards are met for pounds and bags per hour. Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for various equipment, including powder bin, rare earth magnet, packaging filler, ink jet coding machine, metal detection equipment, and palletizing system. Maintain adequate packaging supply stock, uphold accurate record-keeping, and ensure a clean work environment. Adhere to SOPs, HACCP guidelines, and UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies. Report any nonconformities and perform other duties as needed.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform the efficient operation of all Sapac Packaging equipment to maintain Company established production standards for pounds per hour of finished product and bags per hour.
  • Perform start-up and shut-down functions of the powder bin and rare earth magnet, packaging filler, ink jet coding machine, metal detection equipment and palletizing system.
  • Maintain proper packaging supply stock.
  • Keep accurate and legible records.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Adhere to all SOP’s and HACCP guidelines.
  • Adhere to all UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
General Skills & Abilities needed to complete job successfully:
  • Ability to operate packaging equipment.
  • Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions in English

Experience:                                    
  • General knowledge of packaging equipment and conveyor systems is helpful.
