Job Summary/Objective:

The People Operations Generalist will provide support to the People Operations team in delivering efficient and effective HR daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in areas such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, HRIS data management, and other HR administrative tasks. They will work closely with the People Operations team to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction, compliance with company policies and procedures, and a positive work culture.

This role will be located onsite at our Tempe location and is not remote.


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures. 

  • Assist in managing the onboarding and offboarding process for new hires and departing employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and submitted on time 

  • Assist in administering benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave programs 

  • Manage employee data in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all information 

  • Process biweekly payroll for 300+ employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution. 

  • Provide support in maintaining HR policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations 

  • Support employee relations and engagement initiatives, including planning and coordinating company-wide events, recognition programs, and other activities 

  • Assist in conducting HR audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance HR operations 

  • Provide general administrative support to the People Operations team as needed 

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws 

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity. 

Experience: 

  •  Experience working with HRIS  
  • Bilingual Paycom HRIS 

Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP a plus 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

The physical demands for a People Operations Generalist position are generally minimal as this is a sedentary role that primarily involves working in an office setting. However, some physical demands may include: 

  • Sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer 

  • Occasional standing or walking during meetings or events 

  • Using a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods 

  • Lifting and carrying boxes or materials weighing up to 25 pounds, although this is not a common requirement for this role
