Schedule: Monday - Friday


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
 

  • Be organized and able to work independently to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Make decisions based on general mechanical and electrical principles with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Coordinate with other team members, contractors, or vendors when necessary for specialized repairs or projects.
  • Fix or replace faulty components, parts, or systems to restore functionality and prevent further damage.
  • Be able to comprehend and utilize technical prints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on various buildings
  • Enter operation and maintenance data into logs, reports and computer databases.
  • Respond to Department calls and emergency call-ins
  • Adhere to all municipal, state and federal regulatory compliance, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Adhere to all SOP’s and HACCP guidelines.
  • Adhere to all UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Other duties as required.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area/s.


Qualifications:
General Skills & Abilities needed to complete job successfully:
  • Electrical work includes troubleshooting, testing, replacing of equipment, outlets, switches, lights, and ballast.
  • Flooring repairs. Grouting Sealing and replacement of various types of flooring. Dairy Brick, Concrete, Caster Coated, and varying types of other flooring.
  • General carpentry and framing
  • General Plumbing knowledge installs and repairs. Toilets, sinks, and drains.
  • Roof repairs. TPO, Metal Deck, Foam, etc.
  • Moving or Installation of furniture, fixtures, equipment.
  • Caulking/sealing of various horizontal and vertical surfaces. Wall joints, crevices, alcoves, exterior to interior penetrations.
  • Drywall/plaster repair and painting.
  • Ability to operate equipment including a forklift, and various lifts.
  • Must be able to work 8 hour shifts.
  • Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.

Experience: (required)                                  
  • 2-4 years of experience in skilled building trades
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be used to meet the minimum qualifications.
